Certificate of attendance
For conferences, workshops and seminars that give each participant proof they attended, often with CPD or CPE hours. Free to copy and use. All templates.
What it needs
- The participant's full name, as they registered
- The event's name
- Where it was held
- The date or dates attended
- CPD or CPE hours, if the event awards them
- A unique certificate number
- The date of issue
- The name and title of the person signing
Template
Each detail is written as a {{Column}} tag. Replace them by hand, or paste the template into InviteLetter as it is: the tags match the columns of your list.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
This is to certify that
{{Full Name}}
attended {{Event Name}}, held in {{Event City}} on {{Event Date}}, and completed {{CPD Hours}} hours of continuing professional development.
Certificate number: {{Certificate Number}}
Date of issue: {{Issue Date}}
{{Signatory Name}}
{{Signatory Title}}
{{Organiser Name}}List template (CSV)
Your list needs one column per tag, named the same way, with one row per person. Write dates as YYYY-MM-DD. Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets, replace the two example rows with your people, and save it as CSV (UTF-8).

Tips
- Give every certificate its own number, kept in a column of your list, so a certificate can be checked against your records later.
- If people attended different sessions, keep the hours per person in the list rather than one figure in the text.
- If an accrediting body approved the hours, add its name and the approval reference under the hours.
- Every tag needs a value on every row. If a detail doesn't apply to everyone, take it out of this template or give each row a value: InviteLetter flags empty cells before it makes anything.
Have 50 or 500 to send?
InviteLetter turns this template and your list into one PDF per person, with missing details flagged first. See certificates of attendance for every delegate.
